Guidelines for NoBots and Clan Wu-Tang Servers Mission: Create our own microcosm where Counter-Strike gamers participate in a clean, well moderated, fair, and friendly environment. Players can come here to relax, unwind, play, and have a good time… killing each other. People who do not abide by the general intent of this mission and do not respect our wishes and those of our little world will be banned and/or otherwise persecuted. Some of you may feel that this is unjust. Remember, this is not a democracy, we put a lot of our time, effort, and money into creating our own utopia. If you want a say, then join and help us, if not, relax and play. Admin Guidelines We strive to provide a monitored, fair and friendly playing environment. We expect everyone, admins, players, spectators, and guests to respect each other and work as a team to achieve these goals, both on the game servers and at our web site. Teams are expected to work together towards the team goals. That is what Counter-Strike is about. If you want to be a hero, play Half-Life. Admin Responsibilities As an administrator, your first mission is to assist all players in becoming familiar with the rules and provide guidance and advice where appropriate. Admins may not abuse their powers (kicking players solely to clear a spot on the server) nor should they ridicule new or unskilled players. All admins are expected to treat our guests regardless of “clan” status or skill level with the same respect and courtesy. Admins are forbidden from swearing on the server, period. If you can’t abide by the above guidelines inform me now and I will remove your rights. WARNING level offenses (first offense): (Offending player will be warned by name.) • Team injuring (including retaliation) • Team killing • AFK more than 2 rounds • Hardcore porn sprays (nudity by itself is tolerated but not encouraged) • Excessive graphically violent or personal verbal assaults/comments directed at another player • Profanity (including attempts to circumvent the swearing suppressor by using spaces, dashes, slashes, punctuation, etc.). • Playing without a pronounceable name (names consisting only of symbols that are not recognizable are not allowed.) However names that create an illustration that can be "called" such as a knife or sword are ok.   TEMPORARY BANNABLE offenses: • Any item above if repeated after a warning • Team killing at spawn (kills within 7 seconds are handled automatically)   PERMANENT BANNABLE offenses: • Being banned for the above offenses more than three times • Racist, derogatory, defamatory, or religiously-directed comments, or sprays Special Consideration Regarding Cheating: • This server has chosen not to employ PunkBuster at the present time. We have no way to prove cheats are being used, so generally no action can be taken against suspected cheaters. However, we have instituted the following exception: If two admins, or one admin and one player take the initiative to ghost (follow a player while dead) for one ENTIRE round) the suspect and are absolutely positive that the suspect is employing a wall-hack or other cheat that player may be banned. Before banning, the admin must identify themselves and inform everyone in the game as to the reason. Tactics: • Camping is an acceptable tactic in this game for the defending team (T’s on hostage and Assassination maps, CT’s on bomb maps). • Some maps provide "interesting" places for players to hide or reach. If a player can get there they are allowed to use it. Exceptions include any place that is outside the map bounds (such as sky-walking). • Using any type of Map exploit is cheating. This includes boosting thru the roof on any map. • Hostage jumping is NOT permitted here. • Shooting hostages is NOT permitted here. About bans If you are banned from NoBots, you can take some time to cool off, relax, and come back the next day. If you feel you have been unjustly banned, contact the admins or post in forums a description of what happened. BE POLITE and REASONABLE. If it is a mistake or a misunderstanding we WILL correct it. However, we do have final say over your PRIVILEDGE to play on OUR servers. NoBots, as a rule, does not tolerate abuse against any race, religion or other life choice. If any player is abusive in this regard with their language or their spray paint logos (e.g., swasticas, KKK hoods, etc.) they WILL be banned as described above without warning.
